Neues Sonnensegel am Spielplatz Duivenallee: Mehr Schatten für Gemündens Kinder
Gemünden am Main – Ein starkes Zeichen für die Gemeinschaft und den Sonnenschutz unserer Jüngsten: Der beliebte Spielplatz an der Duivenallee (Lindenwiese) in Gemünden am Main freut sich über eine bedeutende Aufwertung. Dank einer erfolgreichen, gemeinschaftlichen Spendeninitiative schützt ab sofort ein neues, großflächiges Sonnensegel die spielenden Kinder vor intensiver UV-Strahlung.
Die offizielle Einweihung des Projekts fand am 22. Mai 2026 im Beisein zahlreicher Unterstützer statt.
Ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt für die lokale Infrastruktur
Die Realisierung des Sonnensegels zeigt, was bürgerschaftliches Engagement in Gemünden bewegen kann. Initiiert wurde die Spendenaktion von Stadtrat Miroslav Blaic in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Stadtmarketingverein „Gemünden aktiv“.
Das Projekt im Überblick:

- Feierliche Einweihung: Ökumenische Segnung durch Pfarrer Johannes Werst und Prädikant Manfred Dorsch.
Warum das Sonnensegel für den Spielplatz an der Lindenwiese so wichtig ist
Gerade in den Sommermonaten heizen sich Spielgeräte aus Metall und Kunststoff stark auf. Das neue Segel überspannt zentrale Spielbereiche an der Duivenallee und sorgt für die dringend benötigte Beschattung. Familien und Großeltern können den Spielplatz in Gemünden nun auch an heißen Tagen ohne Sorge nutzen, da das Risiko von Sonnenbränden und Hitzeerschöpfung deutlich minimiert wird.

Using the infinitely height-adjustable handles, the sail can easily be adjusted in line with the sun’s position. The shade sail fabric is permeable to water and wind, which prevents heat accumulation as well as the formation of mould and rotting. Be it for public or private use, we have a solution to suit everyone.
As the sails are made-to-measure, they do not require more space than necessary, but offer as much comfort as possible. The sun protection systems are TÜV tested and therefore suitable for use in public areas. If the system is also to be used as a sandbox cove, the sandbox should be no larger than 3.60 x 6.60 m.
